How do I connect my health monitoring device to the internet?

Health measurement data is transmitted to the mobile device app via Bluetooth, which then displays health indicators. The app transmits data to the cloud server via mobile data, SIM card, or Wi-Fi (wireless network). The data is then downloaded to a backend dashboard monitored by our nursing team, allowing for immediate action to be taken when necessary.

How do I connect and pair my health monitoring device with my mobile device?

The user manual provided with your health monitoring device outlines the steps for pairing devices. You can also refer to our website for instructions at www.drpom.net. If you encounter any difficulties, our staff are happy to assist you. Please call our hotline at 852-2111 0717.

Do I need a mobile phone to access the platform?

You only need a mobile device, whether it’s a smartphone or tablet. You must first download the DrPOM app onto your mobile device, then pair your health monitoring device with the app via Bluetooth to access the cloud platform.

Do I need Wi-Fi at home?

You need to be connected to the internet to access the cloud platform. Therefore, you will need a Wi-Fi connection, mobile data, or a SIM card-enabled mobile device to connect to the internet.

What services does DrPOM offer?

DrPOM provides Home Monitoring Service through advanced health monitoring devices and an innovative, reliable online platform. Customers can perform health measurements at home, with data securely transmitted in real-time to the online platform. In cases of significant abnormalities, the system automatically sends alerts to both the customer and designated caregivers or family members. A team led by qualified nurses reviews the health data and communicates with the user as needed. This service is suitable for individual users as well as care homes or centres.

In addition, we offer Health Management Service, where our nursing team provides personalised health management with advice to assist clients with chronic conditions, such as hypertension, high cholesterol, high body fat, diabetes, previous cardiovascular events requiring hospitalisation, ongoing medication, or high stroke risk assessments.

Which health indicators can I monitor?

Currently, the DrPOM platform allows monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, body temperature, weight, body fat percentage, blood glucose, total blood cholesterol, and uric acid levels.

Can I purchase health monitoring devices without registering for the service?

Yes. Even if you do not register for the service, you can purchase any health monitoring device directly via our e-shop.

I have purchased health monitoring devices; can I now register for DrPOM services? What are the charges?

DrPOM offers the Home Monitoring Service and Health Management Service. If you have already purchased health monitoring devices, the service fees may be adjusted accordingly. 

Once you select the most suitable service, please contact us directly at +852 2111 0717 or click here to speak with a DrPOM staff. We will provide detailed information and assist you with registration immediately.

If I decide not to continue with the service, can I terminate immediately?

Yes. If you choose to discontinue within 14 days of registration, you are entitled to a full refund. After the 14-day period, refunds may be granted under exceptional circumstances upon providing relevant proof. Please note that the purchase of monitoring devices is non-refundable.

What should I do if I receive an alert? 

Alert are categorised into two levels. 

– High-level alert: This may indicate a significant abnormality in your readings. If you receive a high alert, please remain calm, rest for a few minutes, and then take your measurement again. If the readings remain elevated, you should seek medical advice. 

– Low-level alert: This indicates a need for close monitoring but does not require immediate medical attention. The purpose of this alert is to remind you to observe your measurements over the coming days or weeks. If the readings continue to be high, a medical assessment may be necessary.

To help avoid unnecessary worry, DrPOM offers different supporting services where our nursing team will contact you to verify the alert and advise on the appropriate next steps.

When will the nursing team contact me if my readings are abnormal?

If you are enrolled in the Home Monitoring Service, our nursing team will contact you if your readings are significantly outside normal ranges and pose a risk of complications.

Do I need to take health measurements every day?

Not necessarily, unless your condition requires close monitoring and your readings are still stabilising. However, daily measurements are recommended to help you keep a closer eye on your health and establish a routine.

Why do I need to share my personal health information with DrPOM?

If you are registered for DrPOM services, our nurse-led team will contact you if your measurements show significant abnormalities (high alerts). Sharing your health data allows us to monitor your chronic conditions more effectively and provide targeted support.

Is my personal information and health data protected?

DrPOM is committed to safeguarding your privacy and the confidentiality of your personal and health information. We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws and regulations. We also implement appropriate security measures to protect our system from cyber threats.

What should I do if I forget how to take my measurements?
